About Us
Dr. Ketty Maurice is the medical provider at Premier Healthcare of Florida. Dr. Maurice has been practicing as a Family Practice physician in Florida for nine years. She graduated from the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1997 and concluded her family medicine residency at Peninsula Hospital Center in Far Rockaway, New York in 2000. She returned to her hometown of Miami where she committed to serve the underprivileged because she saw a great need. Subsequently she found her niche in Geriatrics and Adult medicine while concentrating on inpatient care and nursing home rehabilitation. However she continued to perform adolescent medicine and women's health care adjunctively. At Premier Healthcare of Florida, Dr. Maurice will be accepting all patients from ages 10 years and older.
Dr. Maurice is a proponent of healthy living and preventative health care. She believes that a few simple lifestyle changes may limit or even prevent future disease processes. She also believes in a practical approach to medicine because each patient has unique circumstances that may alter his or her treatment course.

Dr. Maurice's wholesome approach to healthcare is one of the reasons why she chose to become an osteopath. Osteopathy is a field that is unique compared to conventional medicine. It is a natural approach of the treatment of the musculoskeletal system (muscles and bones). The relationship between the musculoskeletal and nervous system is a form of a biofeedback (regulation) process that can make a difference between improved activities of daily living and chronic, debilitating pain. Medicinal therapy is also a viable treatment and sometimes is the only treatment available for some disease processes such as resistant hypertension. Other circumstances might warrant the two different approaches be combined such as in persistent, back pain.
Dr. Maurice is now accepting new patients and would like to grow with this community as it faces the challenges of new health care reform, economic recovery and new building projects in the area. She is currently on staff at St. Cloud Regional Medical Center and will be on staff at Osceola Regional Medical Center and Florida Hospital, Kissimmee in January. Late appointments can be made, walk-ins are always welcome and telephone consultation is available during business hours.
